Brenda is a Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy and the principal of BT Acumen. She has over 16 years’ experience in personal and corporate insolvency, and forensic accounting. She’s also been a chartered accountant since 2005.
Brenda began her career in insolvency at the Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) with a role as a Deputy Assistant Official Receiver in Queensland and later as an Inspector in Bankruptcy Regulation, Melbourne. After several years she moved to Victoria Police as a senior forensic accountant. Upon returning home to North Queensland, Brenda worked in private accounting practices on both corporate and personal insolvency administrations, as well as business valuations, forensic accounting investigations, and statutory trustee matters.
In her spare time, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family. She particularly looks forward to time with her young son and she is a proud supporter the North Queensland Cowboys.
